I am so stoked to have a week off from planning my own activities, transportation, hostels, and food!
Monica had received an amazing deal from a tour expo for a week in Great Britain, so we purchased this 7 day tour. We couldn’t have been happier!!
Mike, our tour guide, and Joshua, our bus driver, were absolutely amazing. The hotels were (mostly) 5 stars, the food was delicious, the people traveling with us were very friendly (a little older than us), and the sights were just spectacular. We couldn’t have had a better experience.
Places we visited in 1 week:
London
Cambridge
York and Yorkshire
Hadrian’s wall
Jedburgh
Edinburgh
Loch Ness
Scottish Highlands
Callender
Glen Coe
Ben Nives
The lake district of England
Liverpool
Stratford upon Avon
Caerphily
Cardiff
Bath
Stonehenge
London
WOW, that list is gigantic! It doesn’t even include some of the little stops we made along the way, like visiting the Angel of the North or Gretna Green.
If you’re thinking about touring with Expat, just do it!
Here we all are partying and celebrating in Edinburgh with Scottish food and music!
I will do a story on each country, city, and place that we stopped, but here is a little preview! Stay tuned for more photos, stories, tips, and reviews.

Tips for enjoying this bus tour to the fullest:
-Sleep very well at night, because your days are filled with stuff to do!
We climbed all the stairs to Clifford’s tower in York. Spectacular views!
-Bring the most comfortable shoes you have. I don’t think I’ve ever walked this much in my life. It was at least 8 miles a day.
-Take advantage of the free breakfast and fill up reusable water bottles when you’re done. Stash some croissants and apples in your bag to eat later, on the bus.
-Invest in a *good* neck pillow, like my watermelon one pictured here!
-Upload all your photos, every night, because you don’t want to lose them!
-Don’t worry if you travel solo, everyone is so friendly!
-Bring contact cards to pass out your information. Stay in touch with all your new friends!
-If you need wifi, bring your own. The bus doesn’t have any. The hotels mostly do, except in Edinburgh.
A++.
